A modern lake house on a peninsula extending into Lake Champlain.
The project program was organized into three separate, connected forms. The entry flat roof connects the north and south wings of the house organized around a central pool courtyard. The north wing houses the living spaces while the south wing contains the garage, gym and office spaces.
The material palette is composed of natural materials: western red cedar, corten cladding, corral board, and board formed concrete, designed to age gracefully and blend seamlessly into the surroundings. The result is a uniquely situated lakefront house, developed to show the potential of new shoreline regulations, and defer to the natural beauty of the site.
